Mayma Raphael was born on the island of Dominica, and moved to Toronto, Canada as a teenager. She pursued an undergraduate and graduate degree in Sociology at Carleton University in Ottawa. Upon moving to the US she started her own company, and later went on to work in Wealth Management for a major financial corporation. Taking a break from her career and being a stay-at-home mother has brought her so much joy, and she finds her children her greatest inspiration. She was inspired by her four year old daughter to write this book. She resides in Westchester County, New York with her husband and her two young children. "I Love the Skin I'm In!" is her debut book as a writer.
Haily Cryan is an emerging illustrator living and working out of Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from the Hartford Art School with her B.F.A. in Illustration and minor degree in Art History. She has spent her time pursuing her passion and career as an illustrator, artist and designer from a very young age. Growing up by the shore in Connecticut with both parents as artists for their profession, was a huge inspiration for Haily, she always knew she wanted painting and drawing to be a part of her life. Haily has developed her own style, and her enthusiasm, devotion and love for her work, has always been her guide to making memorable art.
